I like to capture moments in my drawings, moments that are quick like when the model is moving or changing poses. I want to have the viewer sense that her movement is happening, that it is real and plausible.

There is nothing quite like ringing in the New Year in the studio. Traditionally I like to review the previous year and take a look at the work I've done over the past 365 days.

This ink drawing captures one of the moments from the tales of the centaurs, where the wild centaur Nessus attempts to kidnap and rape Hercules' wife.

Drawn directly from a live model and is a technical demonstration I did for my art students.

Several models I have worked with over the past 40 years are fascinated by the erotic nature of the drawings of Klimt and Schiele. Some choose to express themselves in ways that others are uncomfortable doing

The viewer needs to understand that these works were created because the model decided to share something very personal and private with the artist. This drawing is part of my “Junk Project".

As an artist I am always observing the world around me, looking for a moment, a feeling to capture. There is a multitude of moments to capture when we become aware of our surroundings. The moment in this drawing captures a lover sleeping in the early morning hours just before sunrise.

Many of the women in my paintings and drawings are friends of mine and very few have considered posing nude before. I prefer to let the models choose their own poses and to choose a level of intimacy that they are comfortable with.

I’ve always enjoyed walking into a space and having it feel just right, comfortable, welcoming and peaceful. These paintings of interiors are without occupants or noise and are meant to transmit to the viewer a sense of solitude and utter calm.
