"The jellyfish and a play on words is a jumping off point in this body of work. The artist uses colour, shapes, texture and organic material to express and juxtapose both strength and fragility.   Using both the negative and positive space to produce his imagery. Fletcher playfully combines found materials and textures to convey structure where there perhaps is none.  The jellyfish (méduse in French) is both a fragile and beautiful creature and not un-like the mythological Medusa are both beautiful and painful to those who dare come too close." This painting is done on a gallery style canvas. The work is signed on the front and back by the artist.
